Do you love the colour Greenery?⠀
In our design studio, we focus a lot on colour. And this month is a special one, as Pantone released the 2017 colour of the year, Greenery. According to Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Colour Institute, “It symbolises the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose.”⠀
It got me thinking.⠀
⠀
With 2017 only a few weeks away, it’s a time for reflection on the year past and a time to look forward. It’s been a year of both beautiful and then difficult moments for many, including me. And the end of year symbolises the closing of a chapter and a time to reset. I don’t know if you’re like me, but I feel like I need this end-of-year milestone. To stop. Take a break. Take a breath. And just reconnect. To myself, to my family, to nature, to my friends, to stillness. And then look to the coming year as a fresh start and hit reboot.⠀
The announcement of the colour Greenery, also got me thinking how I started writing and using green as my core colour this year. Coincidence. I think not, but I’m big into signs these days. Serendipitous signs are everywhere if you are open to them. Are you a believer in signs?⠀
I believe nature allows us reconnect at an energetic level. Bob Proctor once said that ‘nature is of the highest vibration’, which is probably why I love being in it so much. After going for a walk, heading to the beach or spending time in my back garden, I always feel clarity, focused and aligned. I highly recommend spending time in nature to get connected to your source. I know that’s a bit woo woo for some, but give it a try if you’re open to it. ⠀
Just sit on the grass and give yourself some time and space to be still. Even if it’s five minutes. You just never know what might happen if you take the time to connect purposefully and with intention. ⠀
⠀
Are you ready for new beginnings? I am.
