    . . It's been exactly two weeks. Two weeks since . . It's been exactly two weeks. Two weeks since I had one of the most profound experiences in a healing session with my beautiful friend and reiki healer, Pramali @aatmahealing I'd never done reiki before. To be honest, I had no idea about it other than it had something to do with energy and chakras (a new interest of mine!). But I turned up, completely open to the experience and boy did it deliver. Pramali prepared me by sharing that I may fall asleep (which is very common), I may cry, I may make noises, sigh, burp, have tummy rumblings as the energies move around and out of my body. There would be tuning forks, sound bowls and crystals. In my session, I felt completely calm and awake (no sleeping for me!), very in tune with my chakras and I spent a lot of the time crying and sighing in subconscious grief, joy and release, as each chakra that was worked on delivered a crystal clear message just for me. I felt safe and held at all times. My memory hasn't been great this year, perhaps it's from some trauma from the last couple of years, sleep deprivation from catching up on all the things, and just exhaustion from the relentless pace of life this year. But, after this session, my memory was on point and I remembered in explicit detail every single message that was given to me which I have since documented and have been enjoying reflecting on. I'll continue to reflect, as my session continues to integrate over time. This year I haven't posted very much. I've needed to take some time out to focus on family needs, much needed self healing and self care, rediscovering my spirituality, and deepening my intuition. My reiki session has me feeling that I want to write again, so maybe you might just see me sharing a little more when I feel called. My experience with reiki was unique to me and yours may be quite different. I'd love to hear if you've ever done it and how you found it?     This is one of my go-to quick soups I make for the This is one of my go-to quick soups I make for the kids for either lunch or dinner. If I don’t have homemade broth on hand, I’ll either use the @nutraorganics bone broth or add more Veggie Hero powder. Link in bio ➡️ 1-2 Tablespoons @san_elk chicken stock powder 1-2 Teaspoons @nutraorganics Veggie Hero powder 2 Tablespoons homemade chicken bone broth Filtered boiling water 2 handfuls GF spaghetti snapped into short noodles Hand shredded cheese handful from a block of provolone or mozzarella. Add powders to a small pot and add water. Bring to the boil, add bone broth and when melted add short pasta. Boil until pasta is ready, further season if needed. Sprinkle shredded cheese and serve. Optional: You can add frozen corn together with the pasta for added veggie goodness.     Our very first sunflowers bloomed on new year's ev Our very first sunflowers bloomed on new year's eve. 🌻🌻🌻⁠ ⁠ It felt very symbolic to me that such beauty would decide to open and birth their first florals on the last day of an incredibly tough year for so many. Or it could have just been coincidence. ⁠ ⁠ But I choose to see the beauty and the message. ⁠ ⁠ I see new life, birthing of new starts, hope, joy, positivity, a reset, a reboot. ⁠ ⁠ But also a quiet appreciation of the simple beauty that is the sunflower. ⁠ ⁠ It sits tall and strong, but quiet and happy in it's stillness. It sleepily rocks from side to side in the mildest of winds and calms you just by looking at it.⁠ ⁠ Each year I choose a word (or words) and set an intention for the year ahead. I do my usual goal setting, review the year just passed, but the word I choose is for me the most important step. ⁠ ⁠ Around this time of year, I let the universe know I am ready to receive my word(s) and am open to it. And without forcing it, I wait for my intuition to tell me. And I quietly but actively listen.⁠ ⁠ I save my word in my calendar as a daily morning reminder to come back to my intention. It's my anchor point for when I get off track.⁠ ⁠ The sunflower helped me choose my words for next year. ⁠ ⁠ Simplify. Sleep. Truth.⁠ ⁠ Happy New Year everyone.
